Course overview
Children experience early-learning environments through their senses, and differences in sensory processing can affect attention, movement, communication, behavior, participation, and emotional regulation. In this two-hour self-paced course, educators learn to recognize common sensory patterns, distinguish observable clues from unsupported conclusions, and select practical supports that improve access and participation. Participants explore respectful language, sensory-smart routines, and realistic environmental adjustments that benefit individual children without turning the classroom into a therapy clinic.
Certificate Included for STARS Annual Training
Upon successful completion of the course, including the required instructor feedback component, learners will receive a certificate to upload to MERIT. Course rosters are submitted to MERIT by the instructor at the end of each month. Please allow 2–3 business days for certificate processing. Need your certificate sooner? Email us, and we’ll do our best to expedite it.
